The 7 JODI organisations met at IEA headquarters in Paris on 31 October 2008 and discussed the outcome of the 4^th JODI regional training workshop held in Bangkok in September 2008. Within a couple of months, APEC already reported some improvement in the JODI submissions of its Member economies. Other possible in-house training workshops or internships for selected countries in 2009 were also discussed. Updates on the assessment of timeliness, completeness, coverage and quality of JODI data were also presented by the international organizations. JODI partners discussed further the need for a second round of data quality assessment to be carried out by an independent consultant, with results being presented at the 7^th International JODI Conference in June 2009.
