Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE)
The Latin-American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) is an intergovernmental organisation working for sustainable energy development in Latin America.
OLACDE was created in 1973 as a strategic response by the countries of the region to join forces in the face of the global challenges of the time, seeking to defend their energy resources and promote a fairer and more equitable economic development.
Today, the organization acts as the axis of coordination and technical advice for 27 nations of Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on transforming the regional energy landscape through four key pillars:
- Integration and Cooperation
- Sustainability
- Regional Defense
- Rational Use
