Colour code assessment approach by IEA
Data in the JODI-Gas World Database from following countries/economies are reported through IEA who is responsible assigning colour codes:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States.
IEA gathers monthly gas data from its member countries through the Monthly Oil and Gas Statistics (MOS). The IEA deadline for this questionnaire is one month after the deadline of the JODI-Gas Questionnaire (M-2 data).
For IEA /OECD countries, data in the JODI database are the MOS data for all months except the most recent month data (M-1 data). Comparability for the last month has been derived from comparison with MOS data. This methodology is applied using a rolling 12 month period.
If difference between JODI and MOS is:
less than 5% = Blue (Results of the assessment show level comparable to MOS)
above 5% = Yellow (Use data with caution and please consult country notes)
