Colour code assessment approach by OPEC

Data in the JODI-Oil World Database from following countries/economies are reported through OPEC who is responsible for assigning colour codes;

Algeria, Angola, Congo (Republic of), Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.

The methodology to assess colour codes in the JODI-Oil database is in line with the general guideline stated under Comparability Assessment Methodology with the only exception that OPEC assessment does not employ secondary sources. On the other hand, the organisation periodically compares its JODI-Oil data against the annual data gathered through its data collection mechanism from the member countries.
