15th Regional JODI Training Workshop for African Countries: The 15th Regional JODI Training Workshop was held in Tunis from 11-13 April 2017. The event was hosted by Government of Tunisia. The workshop which was organised by the IEF with the support of other JODI partner organisations (IEA, GECF OPEC and UNSD). The training programme delivered by the JODI team was tailored for the benefit of statistical officers in charge of hydrocarbon data collection at the national administrations of African regions.
2nd JODI Data User Seminar: The Second JODI Data User Seminar took place in London, UK, on Thursday 3 February 2016 at 6pm.
5th Meeting of Heads of JODI Partner Organisations: The heads and representatives of the following Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI) partners: Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat), the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), the International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Energy Forum, (IEF), and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), met in Algiers on 26 September, ahead of the IEF15 Ministerial, and took account of progress made since their last high-level meeting in Moscow in 2014. The African Energy Commission (AFREC) also attended the meeting in Algiers as an observer.
JODI-Gas Information Session: The JODI-Gas Information Session was held on the sideline of the 5th GECF Summit that in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea during on 26 November. HE Gabriel Obiang Lima, Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons of Equatorial Guinea opened the Information Session along with and HE Yury P. Sentyurin, Secretary General of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) and HE Sun Xiansheng, Secretary General of the International Energy Forum (IEF).
JODI Inter-Secretariat Meeting - December 2020: The IEF chaired the Second 2020 Inter-Secretariat Meeting among JODI partner organisations comprising APEC, EUROSTAT, GECF, IEA, IEF, OLADE, OPEC, and UNSD on 4 December 2020.
JODI Training Workshop for Latin American Countries: The Joint Organisations Data Initiative (JODI) partner organizations (APEC, Eurostat, IEA, IEFS, OLADE, OPEC and the UNSD), with the cooperation of the IMF, held a JODI training workshop in Caracas from 14 to 18 August 2006, for energy statisticians from Latin American countries.

3rd Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable: The government of Japan hosted the 3rd Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable in Tokyo, Japan. The Ministerial brought together representatives from 21 Asian producing and consuming countries.
Meeting of Heads of JODI Partner Organisations: The Heads of JODI organisations cooperating in the Joint Organisations Data Initiative met in Rome on 21 April 2008 to improve the completeness, timeliness and reliability of oil data collected by JODI.
10th Regional JODI Training Workshop for Sub-Sahara and MENA Region: The 10th Regional JODI Training Workshop was held from the 23th - 25th of November 2014 in Doha, Qatar. The Workshop was hosted by the Gas Exporting Countries Forum with the support of the JODI partners: APEC, Eurostat, IEA, IEF, OPEC, OLADE, and UNSD. The objective of the workshop is to enhance JODI-Oil data quality and continue to strengthen JODI-Gas, which was publically-launched this past May at the 14th International Energy Forum Ministerial in Moscow. The Workshop gathered for some 25 participants from 20 countries, mainly from the Sub-Saharan Africa region, who are in charge of hydrocarbon data collection at national administrations and who participate in the collection and dissemination of JODI data. The Workshop will cover the following topics: • A briefing on the background, status and objectives of JODI-Oil and JODI-Gas; • Training on the JODI-Gas questionnaire and the extended JODI-Oil questionnaire; • An overview on perspectives of data users (how JODI data are used); • An open discussion on good practices regarding oil and gas data collection; • A review of data quality assessment techniques, with practical exercises for both JODI-Oil and JODI-Gas.
