8th Regional JODI Training Workshop for Asia and Pacific Region
28-30 October 2013 | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The aim of the workshop was to enhance JODI-Oil data quality and to set the groundwork for JODI-Gas, which will be launched next year at the IEF Ministerial. The Workshop was designed for 30 to 40 participants, mainly from the APEC/ASEAN region, who are in charge of hydrocarbon data collection at national administrations and who participate in the collection and dissemination of JODI data. The Workshop covered the following topics:
- A briefing on the background, status and objectives of JODI-Oil and JODI-Gas;
- Training on the extended JODI-Oil questionnaire;
- An overview on data user perspectives (findings from the latest JODI-Oil user survey);
- An open discussion on good practices regarding oil and gas data collection;
- A review of data quality assessment techniques, with practical exercises for both JODI-Oil and JODI-Gas.
