9th Regional JODI Training Workshop for Central Asia and MENA Region
25-27 February 2014 | Baku, Azerbaijan

The aim of the workshop is to enhance JODI-Oil data quality and set the groundwork for JODI-Gas, which will be launched during the first half of 2014. The Workshop is designed for 30 to 40 participants, mainly from the Central Asian and MENA region, who are in charge of hydrocarbon data collection at national administrations and who participate in the collection and dissemination of JODI data. The Workshop covered the following topics:
- A briefing on the background, status and objectives of JODI-Oil and JODI-Gas;
- Training on the extended JODI-Oil questionnaire;
- An overview on data user perspectives (findings from the latest JODI-Oil user survey);
- An open discussion on good practices regarding oil and gas data collection;
- A review of data quality assessment techniques, with practical exercises for both JODI-Oil and JODI-Gas.
